This is Joanne O'Donnell’s 17th year teaching at Forest Hill Nursery School. She holds a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Towson University with a certificate in Early Childhood Education. She has previously worked in the Maryland public school system and has been a Professor of Education at Harford Community College for the past 14 years. In 2005, Joanne was recognized in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. Joanne lives in Bel Air with her husband and has two sons who are graduates of the University of Maryland and Clemson University. Joanne says she loves Forest Hill Nursery School because it provides a unique co-op experience where the parents and the teacher get to work together to provide a safe and nurturing educational experience for the children.
4-Year-Old Program Teacher
Gina Godwin is in her 7th year teaching at Forest Hill Nursery School. She attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and holds a degree in Psychology with a certification in Early Childhood Education. Prior to coming to Forest Hill Nursery School, Gina taught at a Head Start program in Baltimore City and Kindergarten in Baltimore County. Gina lives in Bel Air with her husband Gil and has three children, all of whom attended Forest Hill Nursery School. Gina believes the best part of Forest Hill Nursery School is the co-op experience and working with the parents to ready their children for Kindergarten. The best part of her job, she says, is that she laughs every day.
